I recently want to do affiliate marketing with commission junction and found that in some occasion I need to have the traffic go directly to the product page. Most Merchants give the link to their home page. That is not what I want. Therefore, I will need to find out how to get the deep link to the merchants in cj. I did some research and finally found the way. Therefore, I would like to share it here so that most of us can benefit the same information.

The steps include:

1 Log into your commission junction account. If you have not signed up yet, please do so.

2 Once you get into your account site. Look for the  “Get Link” tab on the top of the page. Click on the tab.

3 On the far right, you will see By Relationship tab. Click on that.

4 Select the merchant that you have already been approved. If you have not done so, please do. You can not go further without doing that.

5 Click the box in front of the merchant you selected. Then click ” view links”.

6 The site will be opened on a new page.

7 On the top of the page, select search and find the “products” drop down tab.  The next step is to fill in your product name on the next blank. Then select Search For ” Only this Advertiser” on the last blank box.

8 Then there will be images of the product you select. The name and prices and all other details will be there. Select Get link and get html.

9 Copy and paste all html codes onto your notepad.

10 Look for the area that have ” a href= “http://…..com/………” ” Copy just the http://part.

11 That is the affiliate link  to the product that you want. If you want a tracking feature, you can add ” ?sid=” at the end of url.

If you are familiar with Techsmith’s Camtasia program, you might have experienced some problems. They may not be big problems but they are annoying enough to delay your project. For example, you want to record your favorite Youtube video and find out that the video can be recorded. But you can not hear any sound. This article will help you solve that problem.

I think you should have had Camtasia program of your own. So, I will not go into how to get that. Once you have it, you should be able to record what you are doing on your screen. You have to select the record button and then preview it after you have done the process. If there is no sound on the preview, these are what you have to do:

1 Click the Audio source button.

2 Look for “Manual input Selection”. It will be a radio button with the dropdown menu.

3 Select record Master.

Now, your record should have sound on it. However, sometimes, the noise is not loud enough. Here are what to do to resolve it:

1 Go to Audio options.

2 Find out where you can select Audio format.

3 Select MPEG- Layer 3 (TechSmith LAME) 48.000KHz Stereo.

If you do it right, your problem should be solved now. Good luck.

If you are a blogger, you may find got a day that you want to delete your wordpress blog. You thought it was very easy, right? Like you do with regular HTML site, you just go to FTP program. Connect to your server. And just manual delete all the file. Then you can install anything you want and make a new site. Don’t do that with wordpress blog. It will make your life very difficult when you want to install the new wordpress to the same domain name.

What is right is that you go to fantastico and ask wrodpress in fastastico to delete it for you. If you manually do it yourself. When you want to use fantastico to install the new wordpress, it will declare faut. You will not be able to do that. Well, I think a lot of people forgot this and made this mistake. Here is what you should do when you have this problem.

1 Be calm. Don’t panic. It is not the end of the world. Take a deep breathe. You will have to install wordpress blog manually and know how to set up mysql database.

2 Get the newest version of wordpress downloaded to your hard drive. The newest version gives you wider chance of using more advance plugins.

3 Unzip the file.

4 Take notice of your site root folder. Use ftp program to upload all wordpress files to your root folder.

5 Go to cPanel.  Select add mysql database. Add both db and user separately. Then match them together. Don’t forget to give all the rights to manage this database by this user. This is the mistake I made. I need to take a few days until I found out what I did wrong.

6 Open the file wp-config-sample on your notepad. Change the database name, user name and password according to what you did with mysql database setup. By the way, take note of all the information. You may need it in the future.

7 Save the file as wp-config.

8 Upload the file to the root file.

9 Go to http://www.yoursite.com/wp-admin/install.php

Follow what they mention on the page.

How to have auto post wordpress blog

If you want to have your wordpress blog auto posted, what are you going to do? I always
want this to happen but I do not know how. Not until today. Today, I found a way that I

can auto post my wordpress theme with a single free auto post plugin. I don’t have to

spend money on doing this and I am proud with it. Actually, I could have sold this for

some money. I see many people are paying monthly fee for having their sites auto

feeded. Anyway, if someone find this post. It is his or her lucky day then.

Here is what I did. First we will need the plugin first right. Here is the source of

the plugin.

It is called feedwordpress plugin made by a gentleman called Charles Johnson. I don’t

want to dig deep into the details of this plugin. Just be sure that it works. Download

the plugin from the above link.

1 Unzip the file. It contains a few files inside. Now, here is what you need to do. If

you do follow this, you don’t have to read the manual.

2 Use FTP program. Upload the following files

feedwordpress.php` in your WordPress `plugins` directory
update-feeds.php` in your WordPress `wp-content` directory.
rss-functions.php` (archived in`OPTIONAL/wp-includes`) into your WordPress

`wp-includes` directory

3 Login to wp admin account. Activate feedwordpress plugin.
4 There will be line below the plugin asking if you want to upgrade. Click upgrade. If

you don’t upgrade, the whole process will not work. The upgrade link is just below the

plugin name on the plugin area.

5 Go to setting. and then go to syndicate.
6 set up to get the feed from here. Go to syndicated author. You will se the link

syndicated site. Click there. The link will lead to a different page.Select

documentation. Edit documentation. Select switch button on the right. Then fill in the

url on use another feed.Then put new source of your feed. Select use this feed. Click

on use this feed again.
7 Then it will ask if you want to update feeds now. Click update.

Now, you can enjoy your autopost blog with fresh content all the time.

There are many ways that you can track your adwords campaign. It also depends on what

type of site you are using. This article will deal with the wordpress website and how

are we going to track the traffic to the site when it is combined with Clickbank

products.

Firstly, you will need special tracking plugin to your wordpress theme. In order to get

that, you can search in google. Fill in “Wordpress plugin for tracking id”. You will

find some of the plugins available.

Now, you will need to download the plugin to specific folder. If the plugin is in zip

file, unzip it first.

Add this code to the top of your html code. Make it close to the <html> tag.

You will need to change <?xphp  to <?php.

Don’t forget to correct your clickbank id and vendor id accordingly.

After you have save the file, you will need to change the last name of your file.

For example, if your file name is  index.html, you will need to change to index.php. To

do this you just save it in the different name. Then, you will need to upload the file

to your site.

Today, I just found an amazing way to promote my site. Using VDO. Yes, people like watching vdo. However, not many people know how to post VDO onto their web site or web page. This article will give some information on how we can post the flv on our web page.

FLV is the extension of a file which is a Flash Video. It is the name of a format of file which is used to deliver VDO around the net using Adobe Flash Player (initially produced by Macromedia). Flash Video content may also be embedded within swf files. Notable users of the Flash Video format include Youtube, Google Video, Yahoo Video or other Video sites and many other news providers.

Flash Video is viewable on most operating systems, via the widely available Adobe Flash Player and web browser plugins. or one of several third-party programs such as MPlayer, VLC media player, Quicktime, or any player which uses DirectShow filters.

Now you have know the flv file. You will need to know how to install the file on your web page. Here are the steps:

• Have your flv file ready. If you have other vdo file formats, convert it first. Search Google on how you can convert the file to flv. It is not difficult.
• After you have got the flv file, upload to somewhere on the net. If you do not have one, find a place that you can place your file and can pull it for use. You may have to consider having a hosting to place your file. Hosting is not expensive now.
• Go to http://www.web-flv-player.com/ to download AnvSoft Web FLV player. It is free. Don’t worry about virus because I tested it. The good news is it is free.
• Install AnvSoft Web FLV Player onto your computer.
• Open the program. Select the file to open. Select the location of the file on the net which you have uploaded.
• Select publish. Then select publish for web.
• You will have the file prepared on my documents folder on the small folder called AnvSoft Web FLV Player. There will be two files on the folder.
• Upload the two files onto the site or page your want.
• Now you can have a page which is for your use.

I haven’t try use it for Wordpress or any other form of web site. Also, you will need to adjust the file a little bit for your use. Use Dreamweaver or other html editor to manage it.

The long link may scare people away for being afraid of virus of something. Secondly, if you promote affiliate products, the regular affiliate link shows your affiliate id. 3 If you have the full control of your site and you have some knowledge on cpanel. You can use redirect strategy. With this you can set up a new subdomain. Then you redirect the link to the merchant page by using the redirect property when you create your subdomain.

The good point of doing this is that you can employ tracking statistic property provided in the cpanel.

You will know the traffic details that come to your redirected page. Isn’t that cool?

I love to use Wordpress blog as one of my marketing tools. The benefits of using wordpress blogs are many. For example, they are friendly to Search Engines. They have many plugins that can greatly help your project to run smoothly. They can automatically submit your posts to authority sites within short period of time. They are many themes available for free for your use. If you work consistently with your blogs, you can get a lot of traffic faster than using the normal HTML sites.

However, they is one problem which I could not resolve for a long time. Some of the themes work well on Firefox but are viewed differently on Internet Explorer. I have postponed trying to resolve this for a long time. Today, I set up a new blog and found the same thing happened. I have two choices. Either I look for the different themes that is more congruent to both browsers or I stick to solving problems. I decide to do the latter.

I then look into my old VDO files to see if there is anything on this topic. I used to see something on my files but I was not sure. No luck, I could not find the solution. Now I need to check the wonder of the internet to see if it can help.

I did what the site instructs. Guess what ? No luck. There must be something I did wrong. I know that I will need to separate the style sheets. One for internet explorer. The other for Firefox. But I don’t know how to put the code together. You will need to know some php basic which I don’t know.

So I went to Yahoo Answer and looked for answers. Again, there was nothing matched. So, I decide to post my question on the site and will wait for awhile until I get the answer. Last time, I get the answer within a few hours. When I typed on my question and looked at the preview. I noticed something . Those are:

• I didn’t change the destination of the code to my site. No wonder why it didn’t work, I thought. However, it still didn’t work. But then again, I found another thing.
• I found that the code on the Yahoo preview is different from the code I copy from the site that I looked for the answer, idratherbewriting.com. Some of the symbols has changed and more readable.
• So I edited some of the code and tada, it worked.

Here are what to do when you have wordpress problem of discrepancies in viewing with different browser.

1. Create a new style sheet called ie7.css. Upload it to your theme folder.
2. Go and edit you header file. It is Header.php. You can use notepad or Microsoft frontpage.

Here are the area to be edited:

Replace the old one with this:

Rss is abbreviation from the words ” Really Simplified Syndicate”. It is made for us to be able to get the information when our watched site gets updated.

Now in order to get updated, you can go into your Google. Log in into your account. Then select Google Reader on the top of the page. You will be led to a page where you can see all the updated news. You can read the new post of that site without going to that site. It saves you time to do this.

Another advantage of RSS is that you can use it in order to be able to get new content for your article. Subscribing to your favorite sites’ RSS and you will always know the progress of the sites you watched.

You can benefit from RSS by getting the information shown on your site.  Your site will be updated automatically without you posting a single word. You can go to Google blog search and put in the keywords you are interested in. You then will go the blogs that have all the relevant contents. You can check which one matches your needs.

If you want that Google blog search RSS on your site, you can simply put the url on a script that allows your site to autopost that RSS. You can check such script on Google.
